The Talents

I finished reading this book two weeks ago and I forgot to blog about it so I will be blogging about it right now. :))

The Talents is about Dancia, a mediocre girl, who was invited to go to this big private school in their place. She was thinking about how did that happen because she’s just a girl except for the fact that she has a power. She met friends during her stay in the school and developed a huge crush on Cameron. She has this friend, Jack, who thinks their school has an evil side. In the end, she was torn to what side she would choose.

The book is good. I felt myself doubting the real motives of the school too especially in the end. Some situations too made me think like “Does Cameron feel something for Dancia?” or “Is Jack saying the truth?” Questions and doubts were in my mind but they were answered in the end.  A love triangle also occured between Dancia, Cameron, and Jack. Dancia was torn between two but in the end she chose one.

Book Haul: The Lord of the Rings

I’m loving The Lord of the Rings since I watched the movies. I had decided to buy  the books. My friend told me that they would be available in Booksale so I checked it out. Part 1 and part 2 were the only ones that were available. I was torn to buy them both or not. I ended up buying them both! :) I was really happy because I bought them super duper cheap! This is my first time to buy in Booksale which sells secondhand books. (I think?) They are as good as new but the papers turned yellow already. The important thing is that they are in superb condition! :)

Wings

I acquired this book since last summer. I decided to read this last week because I don’t have anything to read. Hihi :)

Wings is about Laurel who discovered that she is far from being normal. She was a faerie. David, her best friend, helped her cope with her discovery and had always been there for her. She met Tamani, a faerie sentry, along the way. He told Laurel almost everything she needs to know about being a faerie. Later on, Laurel developed feelings for David and Tamani. She was torn between the two. Trouble also brewed between her and the faeries’ enemies in the end.

This is just an okay book for me. I thought it would leave me hanging from every chapter but it didn’t.  What I liked about it is that it gave a twist to the fairy stories that I was used to.  I also liked the love-triangle that was going on between Tamani, Laurel, and David. Maybe, I want to read love stories now. Hmmm… :)

“And I like it.”

Out of Sight, Out of Time by Ally Carter

The book is about Cammie, a girl who goes to a spy school. A terrorist organization is after her so she decided to run away from her school to avoid the people around her getting hurt. She woke up one day in a totally different place and learned that months have passed but the only last thing that she remembered was the day that she ran away. She doesn’t remember anything about what happened to her.

This is what I’m talking about! Thrilling. This book gave me goose bumps and I really felt my heart stopped beating in some parts. Then, suddenly, there will be a romantic scene between Zach and Cammie! Okay, I ship them totally! :) At some points, I had burst out a laugh because of some funny moments in the book. Haha :)

When I was reading it, a 5-page chapter felt like a 10-page chapter for me. It has 293 pages but I thought I had read a 500-page book. I totally love this book! I can’t wait for the next book which probably I’ll have to wait for another year for it. NOO!! I hope it will be worth the wait just like this one.

I actually got hook to the Gallagher Girl Series last summer. I started reading the four books and I loved it! I can’t stop reading it. Every book in the series is a page-turner. I also got attach to the characters too.  I was like “I want to be spy right now!” Hahaha. :)

13 Little Blue Envelopes

13 Little Blue Envelopes is about Ginny recieving a bunch of envelopes from her dead aunt. She doesn’t know what each envelope says or contains. Sometimes, it contains tasks, or informations that she doesn’t know about her aunt. She just have to follow what it says. This ended up her in an European tour, meeting new people, and discovering things that she could do.

At first, I thought it will be thrilling and adventure-y. But it wasn’t that much. There are some parts too that, I think, lack in descriptions. Maybe. Everything just happens too fast. I liked the end, though. There are twists and surprises. It’s an okay book for me. I might still read the next book, The Last Little Blue Envelope. I think, it will be more thrilling and exciting than the first one. :)

Book Haul!

Yesterday, I bought two books from Fully Booked Mall of Asia. I’m loving Fully Booked because they have variety of great books and almost always have the books that I want! I love it when I enter a bookstore. The smell of the books! It’s like I’m on cloud nine. Hahaha  :)

Keep Calm and Carry On - I bought this because of the motivational quotes inside. I love quotes that will motivate you or even inspire you to keep moving forward. It may boost me up in trouble times. Maybe, it can even give me hope when I’m down.

13 Little Blue Envelopes - I like the book’s plot. It has a sound of adventure to it. It has different settings in Europe and I like Europe a lot. I’m excited to read this. Hope it will be good.

This book has a story actually. Hahaha. :)

THE END.

I have finished The Hunger Games Trilogy the other day. I still haven’t got over with it right now. Hangover. Hihihi J I’m still thinking about the characters, mostly Peeta and Katniss. I just wish there is a fourth book. I felt that I finished it too fast even though it took me a couple of weeks to finish it. I was really attached to it that I don’t want it to end.

I would like to thank Suzanne Collins for this wonderful written books.  It took me to another world and it  felt like I was part of the Games. It thrilled me to the bones. The characters have affected me too especially Katniss. Peeta too, the dandelion in the spring. When reading the book, you shouldn’t stop until you get enough.
